Highlights

This is great opportunity to work with a fun loving lady who has a roommate in Champlain Heights. She has a cat and a lot of different interests including power soccer, art, music and shopping to name a few. SC enjoys travelling on the bus and Skytrain and can navigate anywhere she needs to go. She has an iPad communication device that she will use if she needs help pronouncing some words with her staff or out in the community.

Duties and responsibilities

You will help her with her daily routine, which includes some personal care, helping her get into her wheelchair. During the day doing an activity that SC chooses, and helping with dinner prep in the evening.

Rate of Pay

CSW: $24.50/hour to $26.65/hour

Probation

3 Months

Driving Requirement

Driver's license (Class 4)

Preferred Training or Experience

Previous training or experience is not essential as all training is provided at a reasonable pace by a super friendly, supportive team. It is good for you to know that SC will need your assistance with transfers/mobility, and personal care.

Specific Training or Experience Required

Supporting People who get anxious; Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.; Computer proficiency (email, Word, internet usage)

Expected Hours of Work

Temporary with potential to become permanent:
Thursdays 7:30am to 6:30pm
Sunday 8:30am to 7pm
